We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain English but in detail, what information we collect when you use thervescape.com, contact us, or travel with us; why we need it; who we share it with and when; how long we keep it; and how you can control it.
1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
The website thervescape.com and The RV Escape brand are owned by RV Resort LLC, a company organized in the State of New Jersey, USA (“The RV Escape,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We organize curated small-group RV (recreational vehicle) tours across the United States, as well as custom itineraries.
This Policy applies whenever we receive your personal information, including when you:
- visit thervescape.com or any of its pages, in any language version (the “Site”);
- submit an inquiry, ask a question, or sign up for our newsletter through forms on the Site;
- message us on Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, or TikTok, email us, or call us;
- book a tour, pay for it, and travel with us;
- take part in our giveaways, surveys, and promotions.
By using the Site or providing your information to us, you confirm that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or provide us with your information.
This Policy is part of our Terms & Conditions. Our use of cookies is described in detail in our separate Cookie Policy.
2. Key Terms
- Personal information means any information that identifies, or can directly or indirectly be linked to, a specific individual, such as a name, phone number, email address, social media handle, photo, or IP address.
- Processing means anything we do with information, including collecting, recording, storing, updating, using, sharing, and deleting it.
- Traveler means a person who has booked or is going on a tour, including under a booking made by someone else.
- Lead Booker means the person who makes a booking and pays for a tour for themselves and/or other travelers.
- Service providers means companies that help us run our business, such as our Site host, payment processors, messaging apps, analytics providers, campgrounds, ferries, national parks, and other tour partners.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only what we actually need to respond to you, organize your trip, and make the Site easier to use.
3.1. Information You Provide
- Contact information: name, phone number, email address, Instagram or Telegram handle.
- Inquiry details: your question, tour preferences, preferred dates, number of people, accommodation option, and comments.
- Booking information: travelers’ first and last names, date of birth or age (if required by a campground, ferry, national park, or insurer, or to confirm that a person is 21 or older for purposes of alcohol consumption), and an emergency contact.
- Safety and dietary information: dietary restrictions, allergies, and any health or mobility considerations you choose to share so we can prepare meals properly and plan activities. You provide this information voluntarily; we use it only for your tour and never for marketing.
- Payment information: amount, date, and method of payment, payer name, and transaction number or ID. We do not receive or store credit or debit card details — those are handled by payment services (such as PayPal, Venmo, or the sending bank for Zelle).
- Communications and reviews: messages via messaging apps and email, survey responses, and tour reviews.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address and sign-up date.
3.2. Information Collected Automatically
- Technical information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser, language, approximate location (city or region, based on IP address), and date and time of your visit.
- Site activity: which pages you viewed, how you got to the Site (for example, from Instagram or a search engine), which buttons you clicked, whether you opened or filled out a form, and ad campaign tags (UTM parameters).
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 9 and our Cookie Policy for details.
3.3. Information Generated During a Tour
- Photos and videos we take during the trip (see Section 10 for details).
- Information about incidents, if any occur (for example, an injury or lost item) — only to the extent needed to help and complete any required paperwork.
We do not ask for or collect Social Security numbers (SSNs), passport numbers, or information about immigration status, political views, or religious beliefs. If a particular service (such as crossing the border into Canada) requires documents, we will tell you in advance exactly what is needed and why, and, where possible, ask you to provide them directly to whoever is verifying them.
4. Where We Get Information
- From you — through forms on the Site, in our communications, when you book, and during the trip.
- From a person who books a tour on your behalf (for example, a friend or family member). In that case, that person confirms that you have agreed to share your information and are aware of this Policy.
- Automatically — through the Site, cookies, and analytics services.
- From payment services — confirmation of payment.
- From social media — if you message us or tag us, we can see your public profile to the extent that platform allows.
5. How We Use Information
| Purpose | Data used |

| Publish photos and videos from our tours (subject to your preferences — see Section 10) | Photos and videos |
We do not make decisions that significantly affect you based solely on automated processing without human involvement.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
We process information on one of the following bases:
- Performance of a contract — to book and run the tour you ordered, and to respond to your inquiry before purchase.
- Consent — for newsletters, non-essential cookies, health information, and publishing photos in which you are clearly recognizable. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 15); this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
- Legitimate interests — to improve the Site and our services, maintain security, protect against fraud, and defend our rights. We always weigh our interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation — accounting and tax recordkeeping, and responding to lawful requests from government authorities.
7. Who We Share Information With
We share information only with those we need in order to provide our services or run our business, and only to the extent necessary:
- Site and forms: Tilda Publishing — the platform that hosts the Site and through which inquiries are submitted.
- Analytics and advertising: Google (Google Analytics, Google Maps embedded on tour pages), Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel, Instagram, Facebook), and TikTok.
- Communications: Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, email providers, and phone carriers.
- Payments: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle participating banks, and our bank.
- Tour partners: campgrounds and RV parks, ferry operators, national and state parks, gear and vehicle rental companies, wineries, restaurants, and guides — only names and the details needed for reservations and access.
- Insurance companies — if you ask us to help you obtain insurance or if a claim needs to be filed.
- Professional advisors — accountants, attorneys, and auditors, subject to their duties of confidentiality.
- Government authorities, courts, and emergency services — when required by law or a lawful request, or when necessary to protect someone’s life or health.
- A new owner of the business — if The RV Escape business is sold, merged, or transferred. The new owner will be required to honor this Policy or notify you of any changes.
Service providers may use your information only to provide services to us, or under their own privacy policies if you use their services directly (for example, Instagram and PayPal have their own policies).
Other members of your group will see your name and, if you are added to the tour group chat, your phone number or messaging handle. If you don’t want your number visible to the group, just let us know — we’ll find another way to keep you updated.
8. We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We do use advertising tools (Meta Pixel) that, under the laws of some U.S. states, may be considered “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted advertising). You can opt out of this — see Sections 9 and 16.
9. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential — to make the Site and forms work properly;
- Analytics — Google Analytics and Tilda statistics show how many people visit the Site, where they come from, and which pages they view;
- Advertising — Meta Pixel helps us understand which Instagram and Facebook ads bring people to the Site and lets us show our ads to people who have already shown interest in our tours. On the Site, we track these events: viewing the inquiry form, starting to fill it out, submitting it, and clicking through to a messaging app;
- Third-party embedded content — Google Maps embedded on tour pages may set its own cookies.
You can turn off non-essential cookies in your browser settings, with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and in your Meta ad preferences. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law. For the full list and instructions, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Photos and Videos on Tours
We love capturing the journey: Bisha takes photos and videos on every tour, and you receive these materials after the trip. We may publish some of these photos and videos on the Site and our social media to share what our tours are like.
- Before or at the start of the tour, you can tell us that you don’t want to appear in our posts, and we will not publish content in which you are recognizable.
- If a post has already been published, just message us and we will remove it or edit you out within a reasonable time (usually within 7 days).
- We do not publish photos in which children are recognizable without the consent of a parent or guardian.
- We do not sell photos or videos of you to third parties or use them in other companies’ advertising.
11. Newsletters and Messages
- We send tour news only to people who have subscribed or given us permission to contact them.
- Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also simply reply “unsubscribe” or email us at hello@thervescape.com.
- We send messages related to your booking (confirmations, payment reminders, itinerary changes, pre-trip instructions) even if you have not subscribed to marketing — we cannot run the tour without them.
- We do not send mass marketing text messages (SMS). If that changes, we will ask for your separate consent.
12. How Long We Keep Information
| Information | Retention period |
| Inquiries and communications, if no tour was booked | Up to 3 years from last contact |
| Booking and payment information | 7 years after the tour ends, as required by tax recordkeeping rules |
| Health and dietary information | Until the tour ends and any related matters are resolved, then deleted, typically no later than 90 days after the tour |
| Emergency contact | Until the tour ends |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe |
| Photos and videos | Archived indefinitely; published content is removed at your request |
| Analytics and cookies | Per the service’s rules; for example, up to 14 months for Google Analytics |
If there is an ongoing dispute, audit, or legal proceeding, we may keep the relevant information longer, until it is resolved.
13. How We Protect Information
- The Site uses the secure HTTPS protocol.
- Access to inquiries and customer information is limited to the business owners and those who need it for their work, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- We use services with strong security, complex passwords, and two-factor authentication where available.
- We do not store credit or debit card details.
- Paper documents, if any, are kept in a secure location and destroyed at the end of the retention period.
No method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure. If we learn of a data breach that could harm you, we will notify you and, where required by law, the appropriate government authorities.
14. International Data Transfers
We operate in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may also process information in other countries. If you use the Site from outside the United States, you understand that U.S. data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required by law, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful data transfer mechanisms.
15. Your Rights
No matter where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we have about you and send you a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete your information (except information we are legally required to keep — for example, for tax purposes);
- stop sending you marketing messages;
- withdraw your consent to the processing of health information, to non-essential cookies, or to the publication of photos;
- restrict or object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests;
- provide your information in a portable electronic format.
How to submit a request: email us at hello@thervescape.com with the subject line “My Data,” or message us on any of our messaging channels. To protect you from fraud, we may ask you to verify your identity — for example, by contacting us from the same phone number or email address you used when booking. We respond within 30 days (or within 45 days for residents of California and certain other states, with an extension where permitted by law). We do not charge a fee to process your request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You may also act through an authorized agent, in which case we will need written proof of the agent’s authority.
16. Additional Rights for Residents of Certain U.S. States
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, New Jersey, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, including:
- the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources we collect it from, the purposes for which we use it, and whom we disclose it to (described in Sections 3–7);
- the right to opt out of the “sale” of personal information and its “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted advertising) — to do so, email us with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” or enable the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser;
- the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (such as health information) — we already use it only to run your tour;
- the right to appeal our refusal to act on your request — email us with the subject line “Appeal,” and we will review your request again. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state’s Attorney General.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 3: identifiers and contact information, commercial information (bookings and payments), internet or other electronic network activity information, approximate geolocation, audio and visual information (photos and videos), and, if you provided it, health information. We have not sold personal information for money.
17. Rights of EU, UK, and Other International Residents
If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or similar laws in other countries apply to the processing of your information, you have the rights listed in Section 15, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first — please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it quickly.
18. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. Children may join certain tours only when accompanied by a parent or guardian; in that case, the adult provides us with the child’s information (name, age, dietary restrictions), and we use it only to organize the trip. If you believe a child has provided us with information without a parent’s knowledge, please contact us and we will delete it.
19. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site contains links to Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Google Maps, payment services, and partner websites. Each has its own data practices, and we are not responsible for their actions. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
20. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time — for example, when we add new services or when laws change. The current version is always available on this page, and the date of the last update is shown at the top. If we make material changes, we will also let you know on the Site or by email if you are a customer or subscriber.
This Policy is published in English and Russian. If there is any discrepancy between the versions, the English version prevails.
